Projekt Dolenjske Benetke v sodobni turistični preobleki v sozvočju s tradicijo izvaja podjetje Borbona catering d.o.o., sofinancirata ga Evropski sklad za regionalni razvoj in Ministrstvo za gospodarski razvoj in turizem. Projekt poteka od 1. julija 2018 do 30. septembra 2020.
Nosilec projekta, podjetje Borbona catering d.o.o., bo v okviru projekta razvilo šest inovativnih in vrhunskih turističnih ponudb, ki bodo turistom in naključnim obiskovalcem omogočale nepozabno doživetje naravnih, vinsko-kulinaričnih, rekreativnih, zgodovinskih in kulturnih znamenitosti v Kostanjevici na Krki in njeni neposredni okolici. Nosilec projekta bo organiziral tudi vrhunska kulinarična izobraževanja ter druga nepozabna doživetja.
Z oživljanjem tradicionalnega kostanjeviškega čolna, prikazom priprave in kuhanja tradicionalnih lokalnih jedi, s pokušino in predstavitvijo starih, že skoraj pozabljenih vin, pridelanih na kostanjeviških gričih, omogočamo gostom prvinska doživetja prvobitnosti v objemu mehke dolenjske pokrajine. Verjamemo, da bodo novi vrhunski turistični produkti v Posavje in na Dolenjsko privabili nove domače in tuje turiste.
